Landmark Events Montreal November 22nd 



Festival Results


Last Saturday at L'Alize in Montreal, we had 14 talented and creative independent artists perform at our preliminary festival. Our industry judges thought that amongst those performers, 7 of them stood out.

Engines of Peace filled up the small stage at L’alize with their 7-man band.  They brought on a strong performance featuring their vibrant and soulful rock songs displaying an insane amount passion through lyrics and melodies. The singer made a point to show their appreciation to all their supporters who made it out.

The Maxwells’ indie/alternative rock tunes got the crowd going. With their youthfulness, they brought all their energy to the stage and impressed many. They were very honest about their songs’ history and meaning behind them and joked around together during the set making it overall very fun to be a part of.

The Vibe Within definitely grooved it up during their set incorporating elements of indie rock, jazz, blues and funk.

Justin Giles came from far to perform here at L’Alize in Montreal and she definitely made the travel worth her while. An emotion filled performance of original folksongs and her cute little personality made the crowd fall in love with her. After the show, you could see attendees stopping her to express their appreciation of her work and performance.

Robyn Cheynne Hughes definitely brought it with her strong and tight vocals. Though Robyn was the last to perform, she ended the night on a very positive note.

DMD, with their front man bassist performed great vocals compliment by sweet guitar riffs and old school grunge rock style.

Friend had an acoustic set backed by very solid vocal harmonies which was profusely remarkable. They played an array of original songs as well as nailing their own version of covers.

We also would like to give a special shout out to 2 artists who got honorable mentions from the judges. June 21, who had a very strong performance guided by their 2 leads vocalists complementing each other with good harmonies and The Effigy Sound who got the crowd on their feet dancing to their upbeat Latin-pop songs.
