THE LME STORY
Arthur Kalimidis started Landmark Events in Montreal in 2009. As a musician and artist himself, Arthur's vision changed, and focused more of his attention from his own music, to helping other artists get their head start in the music industry. "Music will always be a part of my life, but helping out other artists really fulfills me, and I'm glad to be able to introduce the artists who play in our events to the contacts we have, and as well be part of our music community" - Arthur (owner).
The company started off as a "competition", however, after much reflection and realization, LME knew that they wanted to add more value for artists. "We wanted to turn this into more of a holistic artist development company, so that we can really benefit the artists from the beginning of their experience with us, to an ongoing experience with us", - Jennifer (Marketing Director).
LME has now created a music community for all of its participating artists, whether they are top selected or not. "Our job is to guide independent aritsts in the right direction, by educating them on the music industry and its business. We want to empower independent artists to encompass a do-it-yourself philosophy so that they can make intelligent decisions about their career" - LME
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to facilitate and supply music artists with proper resources in the music industry, by connecting them with music industry representatives, providing a collaborative development platform, industry accessibility and networking opportunities to help these music artists create a sustainable career for themselves
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We are an artist development organization that hosts music festivals in cities across North America. The goal of our events is to discover new independent artists by watching them perform live, and providing them with new audiences, industry exposure and helping them build a fan base. Invited music industry representatives, such as record label owners, A&R representatives, managers, booking agents, producers, publicists, and music industry executives are present at our events to choose which artists have the potential to work collaboratively with our team. Top performing artists are rewarded with development platforms such as studio time (recording & production), global distribution, licensing, publicity, tour support, promotion and in-house consultation.
Our goal is to support and empower independent music artists, by giving them the opportunity to showcase their music in front of music industry representatives, and to use our resources as tools to expand their artistry and musical entity, and to contribute to creating quality musical content for the masses.

Arthur was formerly in a rock band called "Jaded", was also a signed solo artist, and was in the top 20 of Canadian Idol, where he sang his own original song, and impressed the judges with his awesome powerhouse vocals and songwriting skills! Coming from a musical family, Jennifer is also a pop artist known as Jey Flores. She's performed in Switzerland, New York and Montreal, and was signed to an indie label. She's currently working on new music, and plans to do a release in 2016.
