In less than 24 hours our latest installment of the Landmark Showcase Festival will be underway at L'Alizé located in the heart of the downtown Montreal core. We spend a remarkable amount of man hours scouring the inter webs to try and find bands and artists alike who can benefit from working with us here at LME. Whether it is getting a chance to network with our judges for the showcase portion of the evening; Zaya Solange, Talent Scout with Universal Music Canada, or Bobby John Songwriter and Producer of a current number 1 hit on Quebec radio, or even having the opportunity to sit in with our LME Montreal team on Artist development seminars. We do our best in offering our resources to help passionate musicians reach their goals.
But enough about us, cause the LME Showcase Festival is all about the music! Here is a quick glimpse into the performers of tomorrow evenings Showcase, and what we saw in their musical talent, which lead us to get them, to join our festivities.
Lost Lighthouse
We stumbled onto Lost Lighthouse while surfing Facebook, and it was their live videos which caught our eyes! We caught ourselves asking two questions, 1) How old are these guys? and 2)How are they so at ease on stage? There wasn't a doubt in our mind that we wanted to see this young collective up close and personal. You definitely don't want to miss what this band has to offer!

Effy Silver
Every once in a while, when we here at LME are recruiting, we fall upon a simple recording. A voice and an acoustic guitar and some background noise of whatever else is going on in the room at the time of recording. When we stumbled onto Effy's Soundcloud page however, we didn't just hear any voice, we heard something pure and under produced which gave us the realest perspective on how talented she really is. We are taking Effy Silver's sounds out of the bedroom and onto the big stage, where we are sure she will be winning over more followers with the sweet and smooth sound of her voice.

Autumn's Mutt
The downfall of many an artist is taking the safe road, using chord progressions which they know musical palettes of all tastes will be able to digest easily. Autumn's Mutt is not one of those artists. Taking the auditory road less traveled, he draws you in with his take on an indie/garage sound on his track "Eager Bright Eyes". We are stoked to see how he will bring his sound to the live setting and blow away the crowd at L'Alizé.

Michael Perry
Sometimes, within music, less is more, and that formula rang so true while listening to Michael Perry's first track on his Soundcloud, "Vanessa". All he needed to show how dynamic of a vocalist he is, was the accouterments of an acoustic guitar and a simple drum beat. With his sultry mid range vocals, he will draw you in to his tunes and definitely have bodies moving to his beats.

The Record Breakers
Referred by Matt Fish, radio show host of Future Hits on 94.7 Hits FM, The Record Breakers show talent beyond their age. The first piece of work we tuned into by them, was their lyric video for "Rewind", displaying not only the bands stellar song writing skills and lyricism, but also their awareness of the necessity of having a visual representation of your work on Social Media. The Record Breakers are going to bring their rocking live performance to the stage and see if they have what it takes to move onto our semi-finals.

None of Us
This post-punk garage rock band were a stand out sound while we were recruiting bands and artists for Montreal. With vocals which are a cross between Paul Julian Banks of Interpol and Gordon Downie of The Tragically Hip, None of Us suck you into their sound with dance-able drum beats and driving guitar riffs. We guarantee that you will be dancing to the sounds of the two tracks from their Bandcamp "The Harmonic Song" and "Congo".

Auresia
This Montreal reggae artist, who has already been charted on Quebec radio, is no stranger to the stage and performing. Coming back from Cuba after recording her new full length album set to release this summer, Auresia is a natural born artist. We first peeped her skills on her video for the single "Chocolaté" and were stoked when she accepted our invitation to be part of the festivities.
