LME Ottawa winners DanahKae, host EP release

this October

It’s only been a couple of months since we had our showcase festival finals in Ottawa and DanahKae, our fourth place winners, have already made big waves with their upcoming EP release this October. They released their single “I Only Ever” on on October 6th on Itunes, capturing the hearts of many across Canada. Danah Krieger and Kae Roberts lit a fire at our Ottawa showcase festival that’s been spreading ever since.

Through Landmark events, the folk duo were rewarded 3 grants that will have their music brought to a whole new level in the music industry. With their global distribution grant, they’re upcoming EP will be available on most digital platforms and for in store purchase. As fourth place winners, they will also have their EP sent to Asher Media Relations music publicist and a full promotional campaign from the Landmark Events in-house publicist.

DanahKae wowed the judges at our festival with their silky harmonies and powerful lyrics.They have come together to write and perform songs that compel any lover of music to take a moment and indulge into they’re captivating melodies and relatable lyrics. DanahKae are giving everyone who enjoys a digital copy of their album first choice by releasing the album digitally October 20th. If you want to witness the magic of DanahKae, you’ll be blown away on October 30th at The Valley Food and Drink Co. for their EP release party where you can enjoy DanahKae’s powerful songs and a fine Ontario craft beer or wine!

THE BEST LOCAL ARTISTS IN TOWN ON OCTOBER

18TH, AT STARLITE ROOM - IT’S A DATE!

Once again, we’re thrilled to be back on Edmonton soil. We've come across some amazing talent, including last year's LME Winner, and Edmonton resident, Paul Woida, who sold out our show at the finals! Now, we are we are awaiting some amazing performances, on October 18, 2015 at our 2015-2016 series semi-finals at Starlite Room.

This time around the bands and artist performances are gonna be crazier and louder than ever. There is so much talent that we’ve discovered in the West Coast of Canada and we’re happy to present the bands and artists that have moved to the semi finals! So get ready to get down and dance to awesome Hip Hop music to rocking your head to some energetic Metal and Rock music, and let’s not forget jamming and singing along with the indie, folk and pop artists on the 18th!

Innertwine

Formed in 2010, Innertwine is an alternative rock band who combine punk, classic, edgy, alternative, and poppy genres to make their own sound. Listen to their new EP “Psychoboom”, we are loving it!

Madeline & Montague

Who knew a brother and sister bond could be so strong and so great, well we we feel the same way about this Indie-Folk brother-sister duo and their music. Madeline & Montague are definitely not to miss. Give them some love by checking out their EP “Some Thoughts” and seeing them play.

Bury Me Jack

Without a doubt you will be headbanging, your crazy hair, with this Metalcore band while they give you a great performance.

The 3 piece band, formed in 2010, is quite impressive to look at especially that their lead singer is also the drummer! Isn’t that crazy? Come check them out, you’ll be impressed and have a good time jamming to their music.

Alleviate

This band has a "smooth southern rock and grunge blend" sound to their music. Their music has been inspired by bands such as The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, just to name a few. Like their page and come cheer them on at the semi-finals.
