The Empty Yellers Make Their Mark at The Big
Apple Music Indie Series in NYC!
The Empty Yellers, the winners of our 2014 Montreal LME Showcase Festival have moved on to great things since taking the top spot at our event. Throughout the whole series, the girls finished first out of approximately 40 bands who have played throughout the whole festival. We have recently signed them under management this summer, and are working collaboratively with them for their upcoming releases.
These young ladies, ranging from ages 18-19 years old, have demonstrated their know-how for catchy melodies, great songwriting ability, and their musicality, not just in Montreal, but in other out of town shows, including Toronto & most recently, New York City. The band has only played together for about a year and half, with the addition of their new drummer Marie Isler, who joined the band four months ago. The new addition to the crew gave The Empty Yellers exactly what they needed.
This all-girl rock band is showing that rock can still be fresh, fun and edgy. At their recent show at The Big Apple Indie Music Series in New York City, the girls really made their mark, and have created some new fans, and impressed music industry representatives, and organizers of the TBAIMS event.
"I posted some pics of the girls on my Instagram page, as well as our Landmark Events page (@landmarkevents), and we've had non-stop notifications from people who came to the event. We've heard nothing but great things since, and the girls really appreciate it - they had a great time in New York City, and had tons of fun at TBAIMS. There was one young girl who went to take a picture with the girls on stage right after their set, and upstairs in the VIP, we had more fans take pictures with them as well. It was quite busy, but everyone is happy with the response! New York seems to be a great place for the girls, and we look forward to bringing them there again" - Jey Flores, management team / marketing director of LME.
The Empty Yellers will be hitting the studio to record their debut EP Hydro Bill under the production of Landmark Events, and our affiliates, producer Glen Robinson (produced the works of The Beach Boys, The Tea Party, David Bowie, and more), and X8 Music (manager of producer Billboard who is signed with Dr. Luke, and have collaborated on the likes of Ellie Goulding, Madonna, Shakira, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande and more).
