LME Preliminary Round at Revival - Artists 




Selected to Perform in the Semi-Final of the 




Upcoming Showcase Event in Toronto

Landmark’s preliminary event for break out artists in Toronto went down last week at Revival Bar. The turnout was steady, the sounds were great and the night was in tune. The judges for this event were Adam Shanfield of the Feldman Agency and Matt Strug, producer and professional musician.

The bands that were chosen by the judges to move onto our next round of this showcase events in the fall are: Black Licorice, Kolton Lynch, Final Sight, Running Joke, Matt & The Radicals, and There Is No Longer Now. These musicians are just starting out in the music business so they are looking for fans and support! Check out their Facebook pages, give them a listen, and support local music!

Black Licorice – A cohesive fusion of rock, jazz, soul, and pop musical genres. These musicians are unafraid to split boundaries and tie genres together into something new. Inspiring and tasteful tunes.

Kolton Lynch – Dream chasing hip hop artist has aspiration to make it big on the club scene by working with big name artists such as MGK, Karl Wolfe, and Joel Ortiz. His stage presence shows that he has learned a thing or two from the industry, now we can’t wait to see what he will do with those skills.

Final Sight – For a band that is new on the scene, Final Sight has their progressive rock sound in order and they know how to rock. We think the blend of their vocals and musical sound are a perfect fit for the modern rock scene. Listen and nod your head to the songs featured on their website. Running Joke - Jake Erickson – Howling vocals, a rock and roll vibe, and lyrics you can relate to, Running Joke’s Jake Erickson has a commanding presence on stage. The running joke behind his act is opposite to his namesake; he is actually able to maintain a crowd of interested rockers - a hard feat for a solo act!

Matt & The Radicals – This group to take you on a trip back to a psychedelic, surf, ska rock era. Their song “Propapropaganda” is a short and sweet kick in the face that will bounce you for the minute and a half duration of time…. Until you press repeat and want to listen again! Check them out!

There Is No Longer Now – A crowd pleasing duo, this guy and girl folk set their own pace with an incredible interplay of vocals and story-telling abilities. We can see them making an impact in the folk music scene in the future.
