Landmark Events Preliminary Round
@The Mansion, Kingston on June 20th
Come and support your local artists/bands!
On Saturday June 20th, Landmark Events is hosting its next showcase festival in Kingston! Yes, we are back and again, we’ve chosen the most talented artists in the area for the event! The artists and bands performing in the LME festival will have a chance to play and earn various musical grants, as well as in-house consultation sessions once they get to the final.
All Bands/Artists will play for an awesome crowd and be judged by industry reps from such as record label owners & A&Rs (independent and majors), booking agents, radio trackers, publicists, managers, producers, songwriters, signed artists and more! This represents a great networking opportunity to meet and interact with professionals from the industry.
The preliminary showcase will be held at The Mansion, which is located at 506 Princess St. It has been known for being one of the top spots in Kingston for local live bands, with three floors – yes, THREE FLOORS! Check out the article about the venue on Kingston nightlife here

Class Act & Karli G: (CAKG) are a hip hop/soul duo from Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Combining the powerful emotion of Karli G's (Karli Grant) vocals with the hard-hitting veracity of Class Act's (Darcy Babcock) rhymes, they've been wowing crowds in, and around, their hometown since 2015. Truth and positive vibes accompany every CAKG performance. They are currently working on new music as well as branching out to a larger audience.
Karli G met Class Act at one of his performances in 2009 and began working together a year later. Soon after, they began releasing hit-caliber tracks, such as “Speak of the Devil”, “The Reasons”, “Regrets” and more, all while performing with great acts like Ghetto Socks, Das Beats, Slaves of Spanky and more! They've also been feature's on Kingston's CFRC 101.9FM and love to raise funds for charities with their shows. CAKG was on hiatus in 2013 while Karli went on maternity leave, reuniting in May 2014 for their much-anticipated "Reunion" show and they've been going hard ever since and currently in the process of recording their debut album.
